8th Annual Appreciation Gala

Our 2013 gala will take place on January 26th at the W Hotel in San Francisco. This is always an exciting and emotional event for all involved. We would love you to join us for this magical evening.

Special honorees include Barbara Fisher, who is receiving the Distinguished Service Award; Tina Hollcroft, who will be honored as Volunteer of the Year; and Burt Berry, who will be the first recipient of the newly created John Uth Memorial Award for significant financial contribution.

Volunteer Training

The 2013 Volunteer Training Session will take place in San Francisco on Sunday January 27th (the day after our Gala). We would like to encourage all past and future volunteers to participate in this fun and informative event - which will include training for medical and non-medical positions. As in past years nurses will be able to earn CEU credits!

The first part of the day will be a general information session about AfS, including an organizational overview, updates on our Treatment Centers, and fund-raising goals. The second part of the day will consist of break-out sessions devoted to specific mission responsibilities.
