AfS was honored this week at SF Rotary #2’s meeting with the presentation of a $14,000 grant towards our 2020 Honduras mission. It was a much appreciated and needed gift to help us reach another 90 children with life-changing surgery. If that wasn’t enough, long-time supporter Allan Herzog challenged members to a match in honor of our 15th anniversary year which yielded a surprise $2,800 for us.

At the same time, SF Rotary highlighted new corporate memberships for non-profits and announced AfS and Roots of Peace as two of its first members. We are proud to have Dr. Karl Wustrack, Alison Healy, Anita Stangl, Rosemary Welde and Mary Liu representing us!

One of our prestige board members and a Rotarian, Cecile Chiquette was awarded the Rotarian of the Month at the same meeting. It was a wonderful day for Alliance for Smiles and its members.
