Our patients belong to families with limited economic resources but unlimited love. They are travelling long distances and taking time from work to be here at Myeik Datkhina Dipar Hospital for the surgeries.
The Alliance for Smiles team is working hard to provide patients and families with the best experience possible during the mission, our love for our patients is also unlimited.
In the above picture four years old, Oakar Myo and his father are ready to go back home to the village of Palaw, 4 hours by boat from Myeik. Oakar’s smile is all the inspiration we need to keep making missions like this possible.
Remember our friend Shan Lin Naing from the monastery? His surgery was a success, we can see him in the picture with his grandma. After being checked by the recovery nurses he is now waiting in the Pediatric Ward to be discharged and go back home.
In the below picture, we see Min Zaw Oo and Khin Zaw Nyin and their mothers ready to start the journey back to their villages, we wish them the best. Now they are travelling with something they didn’t have before: A brand new smile in the family!
