There are signs in English all over Yangon and even here at the hospital, and some of the Burmese people speak English, but most not so well. Even so, we’ve all managed to communicate, make friends, and enjoy the amazing hospitality that has been provided for our team.

It’s particularly apparent in the operating room, where our surgeons and nurses, along with the Victoria Hospital staff work side by side and seamlessly prepare and perform the 85 surgeries planned.

The staff at Victoria Hospital is patient, friendly, and extremely helpful. You can’t help but love them all! Thank you!
