Each year, a fantastic group of donors, volunteers, staff, and supporters gather to celebrate another year of changing children’s lives and improving the quality of healthcare in remote places around the world. We also use the opportunity to honor just a few of the people who have gone above and beyond to make that work possible. 

Please join us for an elegant evening with a multi-course meal prepared by world-renowned and Michelin-recommended Executive Chef Adam Mali and his crew, along with free-flowing wine, fabulous raffle & auction prizes, photo booth, and dancing!

The night will begin with an array of passed appetizers, live music, and opening silent auction bids, then proceed into a program to honor the life-changing work of Alliance for Smiles and some of its most dedicated volunteers and donors.

Charles Schucker Painting

This painting is a rare and extremely special piece of American history – an original WPA creation by acclaimed post-war, contemporary American painter Charles Schucker (1908-1998), which has been generously donated by his daughter, Carrie Schucker. 

In 1935, FDR created the Works Progress Administration or WPA, which helped finance creators like Charles to compose incredible pieces like this one. Charles was an incredible artist and his work has been and remains on display in many prestigious collections, including the Metropolitan Museum, the Whitney, the Illinois State Museum, and the Katonah Museums of Art, among many others.

This piece is signed by the artist and was shown at the Chicago Arts Institute in the 1930s.

You will enjoy an exquisite and personalized 5-course meal for up to 6 people prepared by Anita and her sous chefs, along with fine wine, an open bar and stimulating conversation all supplied by Anita and company.

Date and menu to be mutually agreed upon in consultation with Anita. Venue is the beautiful and elegant home of one of the Alliance for Smiles’ Gala Committee members; menu is flexible, delightful, and can be adjusted for dietary restrictions and allergies.
