Guayaquil, Ecuador – Screening and Opening Clinic

Today was our screening day, and we were honored to welcome many families from different parts of Ecuador.

Our volunteers, along with the Foundation’s team and hospital personnel, ensured that all children were properly registered and screened so we could prioritize those in greatest need for our fourth mission in Ecuador. Looking ahead to our future missions, we remain focused and ready, ensuring that no one is left without a chance for change.

We also had the privilege to meet Sofia, a brave young girl who has endured immense challenges after suffering severe burns after a very unfortunate accident.  Despite the hardships she has faced, her strength and resilience continue to inspire everyone around her.  As she embarks on her journey towards healing, we are honored to support her with the care and treatment she deserves.

We deeply appreciate the kindness of the families in this welcoming and beautiful city and country.  We also had the pleasure of receiving a visit from students and professors from the University of Guayaquil, who came to express their gratitude to our medical volunteers for giving them the opportunity to learn from their experiences and techniques.

Lastly, laughter filled the hallways of the Hospital del Nino Dr. Francisco De Icaza Bustamante.

Thank you to our partners Fundacion El Cielo Para Los Ninos de Ecuador and the Rotary Club of San Francisco for making this possible!
