It was a busy day today with Opening Clinic starting early in the morning. By the time we arrived at the hospital at 7:30 am, the children and their families were already waiting for us. We screened 86 patients and identified 53 healthy children eligible for surgery. All 86 patients went through our screening stations: Registration, Photographer, PACU nurses, Surgeons and Anesthesiologist, Pediatrician and finally our Dental Clinic.

Taking a break from the screenings, the team gathered in the hospital’s conference room for the Opening Ceremony for introductions and speeches from the local government agencies, Family Planning
Association, China Population Welfare Foundation, Sponsors, and Mary Liu, Mission Director of Alliance of Smiles. The ceremony was captured by the local TV and Radio stations.
